June 30, 2008 Update:
  • I am excited to report to all of you that my trip to Thailand for the filming of "Bittersweet" was more than I had ever expected. The crews that were hired worked so much faster and better than I have experienced in over 40 years of film making in America. The cost of everything was 90% less than it would have cost here. Jon Karas was able to attract the biggest stars in the Asian world. Ta Ta Young, the 'Madonna' of that world asked to do a small part alongside James Brolin. Ta Ta is a huge star to over 2 billion people. Jon also attracted Gof, an academy award equivelent star to play alongside James. These 2 stars only add to the financial rewards we will all see. This film, under the direction of Jeff Hare, had a look and feel of great potential. In mid August we will be gearing up for "Shadows" under the guidance of Mark, Jon & Ruyhei. Ruyhei is in negotiations with Universal Pictures to direct an $80 million film. We are extremlly blessed to have him as his carreer is about to sky rocket. I personally was overwhelmed to be able to employ entire villages as extras to work with us in the filming. The Thai people are extremely caring and loving and welcome us in their world. Our ability to employ these poor people will bless all of us.
